PRESENTATION TOPIC: TRUSTING YOUR INSTINCTS WHEN YOUR INSTINCTS DON’T TRUST YOU!

Saturday Morning Young Ladies Session – Ages 13 – 18

This workshop will deal with the battles young people face.  Postmodernism has perpetuated an ideology that there are no absolute truths.  Paul says I’m trying to do what’s right, but I have all these challenges.  We will ask the question . . . Do you trust your instincts when your instincts don’t trust you?  There is war against the spirit and the flesh.  But in the midst of the battles (spiritual, physical and emotional) your faith produces freedom in Christ.  Young women will learn principles of how to build a firm foundation of faith which produces a reality of things not understood. Winda and Octavia will present powerful tools to use while learning to be your authentic self in a society where you are

challenged to be accepted. Self-Love. Society wants you to fit in but our youth are struggling with being authentic.

Octavia Wright's Biography

Octavia "Tay" Wright is a Licensed Practical Nurse currently working in an Outpatient Addiction Maintenance Treatment Clinic. Octavia has worked in the mental health field and in women’s health for numerous years.  
Octavia is a member at Glass City church of Christ where she teaches and assist with various ministries.  
She has a passion for working with young ladies in particular, because she realizes that it takes a lot of courage to grow up and be who you really are and most importantly who God has called you to be.  

 
Octavia has been married 9 years to Keith and they have 3 children Zephan 10, Zamarya 8, and Kendrale 6. 
She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and of course shopping.  

 
Octavia lives by the quote "life is not about waiting for the storm to past, it's about learning to dance in the rain" and her favorite scripture is Phil 4:6-7.
